Aldi Ad Week 5/9-15/18

mothersday

Tons of Mother’s Day appropriate items again this week. Last week I noticed that even the regular prices of most produce had dropped so I hope (and assume) that trend will continue this week.

Produce: $1.39/lb  strawberries (from California this time, not Florida), $4.89 watermelon (Florida), $3.19 Medjool dates (an awesome deal for dates), $1.79/lb asparagus, 99¢ 8oz sliced mushrooms.

Meat/Seafood: Atlantic Salmon on a Cedar Plank $9.99/ Lb., Beef Tenderloin Filet Mignon
$12.99/Lb, Thick Cut Boneless Pork Chops $2.99, Half Pork Loin $1.89/lb, 90% Lean Ground Sirloin $4.19/lb.

Nonfood items: I ‘m intrigued by this HUNTINGTON HOME LUXURY SCENTED CANDLE for $6.99. Even the ad says it is a dupe for Jo Malone’s $65 candles and I remember seeing it all over UK/Australian Instagrammer accounts, blogs and rando websites last year and they all raved about it–and these were not Aldi bloggers or anything. I’m happy to see some of the items I’ve seen as UK-only show up here. Some sunglasses for $4.99, $6.99 bathroom organizers (I have one and it is pretty great for organizing my various Korean face products), still a lot of yard stuff (mostly camping this week) and $6.99 springform pans of various sizes. Tons of baby stuff this week from a baby food maker at $69.99 to $6.99 reusable swim diapers.

  1. I’m intrigued by the candle, too. Damn, I wish I had money for groceries this week.

They will probably have it again! I bet it will be a hit, it has like a 65 hr burn time.

I just did my shop there today. Noticed the blueberries and grabbed two packs for a little less than the ad you have…$1.99 in Texas. My store did not have the candles, bummed about that. Not sure if we did not get them yet or they were all snatched up!

Interesting! I’m in Maryland so I think our prices are a little higher. It is possible they didn’t put them out yet, my store had a ton!
