Aldi Ad Week 2/21-27/18

I didn’t do any grocery shopping last week because I had so much leftover from my last  Aldi visit on the 9th and we didn’t cook much over the long weekend. I’m going out of town this weekend leaving my husband to fend for himself so I don’t need much but I need something for tomorrow night’s dinner and for when I get back. Plus it is Italian week at Aldi and I want to stock up on some items they only have occasionally!

Italian goodies! These are some of my favorites because they generally have excellent expiration dates and are for the most part, really tasty. Flavored or Plain Priano Braided Mozzarella $3.89/8 oz.–I haven’t tried this but am always tempted. Priano Gnocchi $1.79–cheaper than what I get at the Italian market by about $4 but really good and always has a far-off expiration date. Spinach, Mushroom & Gruyѐre or Goat Cheese & Roasted Tomato Priano Ravioli $2.79–I haven’t tried these varieties, but their fresh ravioli has generally been really good. Priano Pasta Nests $1.99 (18oz)–I haven’t tried these but their other dried Italian pasta have been excellent. Mama Cozzi’s 16″ Thin Crust Italian Meat Deli Pizza $6.49–I’ve never tried a deli pizza from Aldi but I am tempted by this one. Priano Risotto $1.69—this is like Rice A Roni but risotto. I actually really like this, it is real risotto rice and really fast to make. I normally toss in some quick cooking veggies like peas or asparagus and leftover meat or frozen shrimp or scallops for a full meal when I’m home alone for dinner. Lots of other Italian options from frozen veal patties to garlic bread as well.

59¢/avocado, 99¢ red grapes, $1.79/pint blueberries, the return of $2.49 kiwifruit.

Seafood/Meat: FRESH EU CERTIFIED ORGANIC Atlantic Salmon $12.99/lb (I don’t always love Atlantic salmon but this looks good and is a great price for organic salmon), Whole Boneless Pork Butt Roast $1.49/lb. Ground Bison $7.99. I have never seen bison before at Aldi and this is one reason I might get there today.

Non-food items:

Lots of pet stuff! The $19.99 sofa cover looks good, you can suck up their hair with this Easy Home Elite Bagless Vacuum $69.99. Other items include food containers ($6.99) and pet bowl mats for $2.99 (we have this and it is great!). Also, bathroom items from a $49.99 cabinet to a $4.99 mechanical toothbrush.

Kitchen items make a return as well: tons of pots and pans from $24.99 and down. I have my eye on the $12.99 covered casserole so I will be sure to check that out.

As always: Check out the ad for yourself here and the Aldi Finds here.

  1. I had a dream about Rice-a-Roni last night. Maybe I’m psychic.
