Lots of Thanksgiving-related saving this week! A few highlights: sweet potatoes for 99¢/3lb bag, 79¢ Pom Wonderful pomegranates, Medjool dates for $2.49, Butterball (frozen) turkeys for 99¢/lb, cranberries for 79¢/12 oz bag and ham of various cuts and sizes for $1.19/lb and under.
There is also a feature of award-winning products in this week’s ad that would be nice for holiday entertaining, lots of cheese, olives, meats, and nuts.
On the non-food side of things, Aldi has the Ambiano Vacuum Food Sealer on sale for $29.99. According to the Aldi site, it works with any brand’s bags so if you get it, you won’t have to rely on Aldi having the bags in stock when you run out. I’m tempted to get this one myself; I’ve been tempted by Foodsavers at Costco in the past but at $129 or so (with coupon!) I’ve not taken the plunge. This is much cheaper, I feel like it would be worth it to check it out. I can’t find too many reviews for it online; it looks like Aldi Australia sells a similar one that people like but it seems a little different than the one offered here. I also have my eye on a potato ricer (one of the few kitchen gadgets I don’t have!) for $3.99.
I’m still working my way through food I bought last week so it might be a few days before I make it to Aldi this week for a big shop.
